I’d like to once again draw your attention to Vanderbilt University’s “Being Muslim” workshop, a four-part series designed to refine our understanding of Islam by featuring local practice. You can read a full description of the project here:
The deadline for part III (Muslims Negotiating Modernities), which will convene Sept. 18-21, 2014, is April 7th.
Here is a link to the full description for each workshop:
To apply, please submit a title and 250-300 word précis along with your current CV to Christen C. Harper, Administrative Assistant, Department of Religious Studies, Vanderbilt University, email: <Christen.Harper at vanderbilt.edu><mailto:%3cmorgan.cates at vanderbilt.edu%3e>
Please note that the workshop is open to researchers of all ranks (including graduate students). Also, if accepted, Vanderbilt will entirely cover the expenses for your trip to Nashville.
Please write if you have any questions.
